What You Can Do

What is Friends of Animal Care & Control?

Montgomery County Friends of Animal Care and Control, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c) organization, is a group of committed citizens dedicated to ending senseless euthanasia in our community. The mission of MCFAC&C is to assist Montgomery County Animal Care and Control in their efforts to achieve this goal by raising funds for outreach and education programs, extending operational hours, and upgrading the facilities.

Examples of proposed programs supported by FAC&C:

“Project Safety Net” a program to assist Montgomery County residents to retain, rather than relinquish their pets

“LitterLess” a spay/neuter program to ensure that every animal adopted from the shelter is sterilized prior to moving to it's new forever home

Volunteer program an innovative program to allow trained volunteers to assist the shelter in expanding hours of operation, evaluating shelter animals, and directly saving more lives

“Adoption Options” innovative solutions to assist the County in adopting and saving more animals
