Our Completed and Ongoing Projects at the Shelter

The following set of pictures is from the May Days for Mutts shelter work day we had Friday, April 29th - Saturday, April 30th.
May Day for Mutts - a HUGE success!
We got everything done and in only 2 days. THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who helped at the shelter this weekend. We could not have even come close to this without everyone's help!!
Friday night:
- Prepped 12 kennel runs for renovation
- Removed gates and beds
- Scraped peeling paint in kennels
- Washed and treated kennels
- Removed water bowls
Saturday morning:
- Painted all kennels
- Repaired, scraped, and painted gates
Saturday afternoon:
- Painted guillotine doors
- Painted back door
- Replaced gates and water bowls
- Touched up paint from previous work days
- Put up new posters

The following set of pictures is from the shelter work day we had Saturday, February 12, 2005.
In short :
- We requested that Animal Control have 4 kennel runs available for the weekend renovations.
- In the morning, we scraped, washed, and prepared the 4 runs and guillotine doors.
- We also fixed the sagging chain link gates to the runs, and prepped them for spray painting.
- In the afternoon after enough drying time, we painted the runs a cream color and spray painted the gates.
- The guillotine doors will be finished tomorrow though we don't need additional volunteers for this.
